It is my last reveal as DT member at Scrap & Music and also Scrap & Music's last challenge for a while. They are taking a break but we hope to have them back shortly with some more awesome inspiration. I loved being on this DT and working with Ana Castro's sketches and the song inspiration.

The song for this challenge is Livin' La Vida Loca by Ricky Martin.

I used background paper from the Love Notes range by Crate Paper and added a magazine cut-out. Everything just fell into place from there. When I glued the cut-out to the paper it looked like it belonged there, like that was the way the paper was designed. I love it.



The speech bubble was part of the cut-out but it contained some random acronym or something. I covered the text with an oval shaped piece of paper and added my own title.



This girl is so gorgeous. I think I need to look up more of these type of pictures to print out and use on layouts and art journal pages.



Most of the elements I used are from the Love Notes range by Crate Paper.



The photos were taken during our holiday in Durban. We had dinner at a buffet restaurant and when Karla discovered the chocolate cake she simply couldn't stop eating.

I am auditioning for the Scrap-a-Doodles Design Team. It is a very exciting prospect as I love their online store and would love to work with them. Here are some of my favourite and most recent designs.

This layout was created for the Scrap & Music DT. I love the softness of the colours and, above all, the memories of a perfect day.



This one was done on canvas. I collaged book paper and used a variety of mists and other mediums to create the background.



The next layout was submitted for a Scrap Around the World challenge. The paper straws are my favourite part.



The following layout was featured on My Creative Sketches.



This layout is still one of my favourites, although it is so out of my comfort zone and different to my usual work. I love the freedom mixed media gives me to explore and experiment.

I was inspired by the colours and that beautiful cello, as I obviously love music. My DD is taking keyboard lessons at school and excelling in the subject. You can see her love for what she's doing on her face in this photo.

I used a photo I took while photographing skydivers 2 weekends ago.

I sneaked these photos while browsing the Robertson Art Gallery. I am so in awe in that place with so much wonderful talent and inspiration. Makes me feel a little inadequate and like “when I grow up I want to make art like that.”
